Tables of Content, Artist Table Project.
All 50 dining tables in the Loading Zone restaurant in Boston's leather district contain original artworks, sealed and protected under tempered glass. Artworks selected from over 150 competition submissions.
With this new format connecting artwork and everyday life, diners eat on glass plates allowing maximum visibility of the artwork. Custom user-positionable lighting, and adjustable high back chairs with wide cherry wood boards on industrial wheels, allow maximum focus on the artwork.
Built within a former fruit warehouse with a building facade re-designed by James Wines of SITE.
Opening: May, 1990
